India & Mumbai batters Shreyas Iyer & Sarfaraz Khan have confirmed their respective avail-abilities to participate in the upcoming Duleep Trophy for West Zone. The tournament is set to be played from August 28, with the zonal selection set to take place on Friday, August 01, after the tournament.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, sources within the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirm that the two senior batters have expressed willingness to take part in the upcoming edition of the Duleep Trophy. Apart from the duo, even Shivam Dube & Tushar Deshpande have confirmed to participate for the West Zone in the Duleep Trophy event. The team has already qualified for the semis, and they will take part in the quarter-final on September 04.
"Yes, Shreyas Iyer and Sarfaraz Khan have confirmed their availability. Tushar Deshpande and Shivam Dube are available as well for the crucial tie," the source told Hindustan Times.

Shreyas Iyer & Sarfaraz Khan aim to come back in the national team
Both Shreyas and Sarfaraz will be aiming to come back to the national team after being left out by the selectors due to poor form. The former's exclusion from the Test team for the ongoing England series surprised quite a few people, as he was in a rich vein of form in ODI and T20Is. He also played a starring fr Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy last season.
"Shreyas had a good ODI series, played well in domestic as well, but right now there's no room in Test cricket," Ajit Agarkar said on Shreyas's snub from the Test team.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz was left out of the team due to fitness issues. While in his brief Test career, he impressed one and all by scoring a fighting century against New Zealand last year, he failed to play a single Test in the next Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Shardul Thakur will lead the West Zone side in the Duleep Trophy, with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gaikwad, Rahane, and Pujara named in the side.
