Former Indian Captain Saurav Ganguly compliments India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s contribution in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. He stressed how important Jadeja’s role is for the new Indian team in the longest format.
Ravindra Jadeja had an amazing personal outing at Lord’s, becoming only the 2nd Indian batter to score twin fifties at the home of cricket after Vinod Mankad. Notably, he’s going strong with his batting, scoring four consecutive fifties in the ongoing series. Statistically, Jadeja also became the 4th all-rounder in international cricket to achieve 7,000 runs and 300 wickets.

It was a jubilant outing for Jadeja personally, but team-wise, he ended up on the losing side, falling short by 22 runs. He remained unbeaten on 61*, which could have made for an exceptional chase in the history of Test cricket. Amidst the heartbreak, Ravindra Jadeja received huge praise for his exemplary performance, with former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly among those showering high praise for his innings.
“Jadeja has been exceptional; he is going to continue to play for India as long as he bats and performs like this. He has been around for a long time and has played some 80 Tests and more than 200 ODIs,” Ganguly told News18.
