Meanwhile, Imad Wasim has remained silent about the controversy but made headlines for a different reason, strong criticism of Pakistan’s recent cricket performance. Following Pakistan’s T20I series loss to Bangladesh, where they failed to chase 133 and lost the 2nd T20I by 8 runs, Imad voiced his frustration:

"You've got to play cricket like it should be played. This is not the right way. For me, if you ask me as a cricketer, not even as a Pakistani, I watch some of the games the Pakistan team plays, and I feel I just don't want to watch it."

He warned that if Pakistan continues playing this way, stadiums in the country could soon be empty:

"Look, the interest will eventually disappear. People won't come and watch cricket if we play like this. You must have seen the crowd was full in the England-Australia match (February 22 in Lahore) and how they play cricket.”

Imad also emphasized the importance of reading match conditions before deciding whether to attack or defend:

“When you go somewhere, you assess the condition, and then you play. But your first instinct should be to go out there and attack the opposition. And then, if you lose wickets, you reassess maybe it’s a 250, 260, 300-run wicket or whatever.” Wasim Concluded
