The Gujarat Titans are gradually building momentum in their chase of 244 runs, currently sitting at 104/1 with the help of dew settling on the ground against the Punjab Kings.
Shubman Gill opened the innings alongside Sai Sudarshan, rather than Jos Buttler, to create a left-right batting combination. Arshdeep Singh started the bowling, and Sudarshan quickly got off the mark with a boundary. However, Arshdeep tightened his line in the remaining five balls, allowing the Gujarat Titans to score 5 runs in the first over.

Shubman Gill Shifting Gears
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, at the other end, began to find his rhythm, targeting his favorite areas and launching the ball down the ground to propel the chase. While Sudarshan played a supporting role, Gill attacked the bowlers with intent. After starting at 17/0, by the end of three overs, the Titans finished the powerplay at 61/1, thanks to Gill’s explosive 33 runs off just 14 balls before Glenn Maxwell dismissed him with one delivery remaining in the powerplay.
Jos Buttler then walked in. At this point, Sudarshan took control and began to hit sixes, allowing Buttler to settle in. The Titans maintained a run rate above 10.5, benefiting from the dew, which made the ball slide easily onto the bat.
