Baby AB - AKA Dewald Brevis, knocked the stuffing out of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) new star scored 50 runs off just 22 balls to enable a two-wicket victory for the Yellow Team. In the process, he knocked out KKR out of the IPL 2025 season.
Brevis came into the crease when CSK were tottering in the run chase of 180 runs, as they lost five wickets in the power play. However, that did not deter the spirits of Brevis, as he continued to play aggressively. The moment of the match came when the CSK star smashed Vaibhav Arora for 30 runs in the 11th over of the innings. The ball-striking in that over was simply breathtaking as KKR fielders watched in awe. However, just when he was looking set to take CSK home, he was dismissed for 52 runs.

After his dismissal, skipper MS Dhoni walked to crease and enabled there was no further hiccups in the run chase. Shivam Dube chipped in with a valuable cameo 45 runs to help CSK win their third game of the ongoing IPL 2025 season.
KKR fail to put in a collective performance as their playoff ends
The problem throughout this IPL 2025 season for KKR was they were not able to put collective performances consistently. If bowling clicked, the batting failed. Also, a lot of their senior players like Andre Russell, Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh could not able to find form like they did last season.
