IPL franchises Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have started refunding tickets to their fans post the announcement of the postponement of the ongoing season.
The BCCI on Friday announced that the season is postponed for a week after India-Pakistan military tension escalated. The Indian Army retaliated in response to the Pahalgam attack.
The Pakistan Army did not hold back and the situation turned into a state of war in no time. The BCCI instantly fell to their plan of action as the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off in Dharamsala. The venue was evacuated in no time and the players taken into safety.

With no clarity on when the IPL might resume, both LSG and SRH have started refunding tickets of their remaining matches. SRH were to play the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Hyderabad on May 10. However, with the season postponed, they announced on their social media profiles about the refund of tickets.
"UPDATE: In light of the current situation, IPL 2025 has been suspended with immediate effect. Ticket refund details will be communicated shortly,” read a statement from SRH on X.
LSG have also started refunding tickets after their match against RCB was also cancelled.
“Update: Tonight’s match at BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium has been cancelled. Details regarding ticket refunds will follow,” the franchise posted.
BCCI Statement On Postponement Of IPL 2025
The BCCI are exploring different possibilities regarding the resumption of the season, the BCCI is busy chalking out a contingency plan and closely monitoring the likely venues to host the remaining games.
The BCCI previously came out with a statement on the postponement of the IPL, saying, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the remainder of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 with immediate effect for one week. Further updates regarding the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be announced in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with relevant authorities and stakeholders."
