Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways, with the former's lawyer confirming they are no longer legally husband and wife in the Bandra Court last week on March 20. Ever since the divorce was formalized several stories are circulating on what possibly might have gone wrong, for this once-upon-a-time adorable and fun-loving couple. The majority of the netizens pointed fingers on Dhanashree for being a gold-digger after she took an alimony of INR 4.75 Crore as part of the divorce settlement.
However, the actual reason of the couple parting ways has been shared by veteran journalist Vickey Lalwani. According to an Instagram post by him, the cricketer & the YouTuber got divorced due to Dhanashree's wish to settle down in Mumbai, as she asked Chahal to leave his house in Haryana. The journalist further stated that the duo had different personalities, according to a source.

Dhanashree Verma's huge demand to relocate to Mumbai shocked Yuzvendra Chahal
Dhanashree, appeared in a few reality shows, featured in some modeling projects in Mumbai, and wanted to permanently live in the city to fulfill her dreams. The YouTuber came with an unjust demand that shocked the PBKS leg spinner. Chahal was taken aback and tried explaining Dhanashree, but soon their light discussion turned into a huge fight. Lalwani wrote:
"Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma never got along much as they are two totally different personalities, says a source in the know. Suddenly, one fine day, Dhanashree put her foot down on something that made Yuzi fall off the chair. The leg spinner was baffled; he tried explaining to Dhanashree that her demand was unjust. The two discussed, argued, and fought. Dhanashree wanted Yuzi to shift bag and baggage from Haryana to Mumbai."
The journalist further in his Instagram post claimed that Dhanashree had shifted to Haryana to live with her ex-husband and his parents. The couple would only visit Mumbai when they needed to. Moreover, Chahal was pretty much sure that he would not leave his parents and shift permanently with his ex-partner.

"After tying the knot, Yuzi and Dhanashree had shifted to stay with Yuzi’s parents in Haryana and came to Mumbai only when they needed to. Yes, this Mumbai-Haryana jhagda was one of the main reasons why this much-in-the-paparazzi-world marriage ended. Yuzi was clear that he wouldn’t uproot himself from his parents’ home and surroundings."
