The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin on Friday, April 11. six teams will compete in this high-profile league. Top Pakistani stars will go against each other and will fight to win the elusive title. While every year, the PSL takes place during February-March, this year it is clashing with the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season.
While the majority of the foreign players are playing the IPL, there are quite a few star foreigners who will be seen in action in PSL. Players like David Warner, Mathew Wade, Chris Lynn, Daniel Sams, & Keiron Pollard. Platinum, diamond, gold, silver, and growing gamer are the PSL categories. The platinum category is for the highest-paying contracts with top international stars that are earning fat amounts. The players in this category get more than $300,000 per season.

Players in the diamond category earn anywhere up to $200000. Gold & Silver category players are paid between $10000 per season, and the players in the silver category earn considerably less.

David Warner - Karachi Kings
The former Australia opener is the highest-paid PSL player in the 2025 season with a staggering amount of $300,000. He is in the Platinum Plus category. The southpaw will also captain Karachi Kings and will look to replicate the success he had in the IPL 2016 season for SRH.

Kane Williamson - Lahore Qalandars
The second most expensive player after Warner is former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. The Kiwi was bought for $220,000 in the Platinum category. The right-hand batter will turn out for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 2025 season.
Babar Azam - Peshawar Zalmi
Star Pakistani player Babar Azam will get $170,000. Questions are being raised about his current form and his place in the T20I team. Azam would love to let his bat do all the talking in the upcoming PSL 10 season.

Alex Hales - Islamabad United
The former England player Alex Hales was bought for $170000 by Islamabad United in the PSL 2025 draft. The right-hand batter is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball. He has over 8000 T20 runs with a strike rate of over 150.
Shaheen Shah Afridi - Lahore Qalandars
Pacer Shaheen Afridi is also in the news for all the wrong reasons. He was snapped up for $150,000. Of late, the speedster has not been able to produce match-winning performances for Pakistan. His pace has also dropped to the mid-130s. With quite a few young pacers emerging from Pakistan, Shaheen needs to step up his game.
