Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar, is in the news for acquiring the Mumbai Team in the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) for its second season. With this stunning move, Sara took her first step towards entrepreneurship and has joined forces with other businesspersons, Zerodha's Nikhil Kamat and Acel's Prashant and Shark Peyush Bansal, further enhancing the league's value.
It is to be noted that the GEPL has gained massive popularity with its game Real Cricket, fetching over a staggering 300 million downloads. Since its first season, player registrations have seen a drastic jump from 200,000 to an astonishing 910,000, making the league the most profitable and gaining interest in esports, especially cricket.

For the unversed, the GEPL, launched by JetSynthesys, is all set to host a grand auction for its third season within a couple of days.
