Pat Cummins is a bowling all-rounder who captains the Australian Cricket Team in both Test and ODI formats. Patrick James Cummins was born on 8th May 1993 and is currently 32 years of age. He is traditionally a right-arm fast bowler and leads the charge for the Aussies. He is also quite handy when it comes to batting and is an effective leader as the captain of the side.

Plagued with injuries, Cummins made his return to red-ball cricket in 2017. In 2019, he was appointed the vice-captain alongside Travis Head. After Tim Paine resigned from the captain’s spot, Pat Cummins became the captain of the side on 26 November 2021. He is the 47th Test captain for Australia.
Pat Cummins has been plagued by quite a few injuries in his career. He suffered multiple stress fractures on his back. Among the most prominent, he had to miss out on the Bangladesh series back in 2015. Cummins also suffered an eye injury. Pat Cummins has achieved quite a few milestones in his career. He became the eighth Australian bowler to scalp 300 Test wickets. He also became the first fast-bowling captain to bag a fifer in the WTC Finals, a feat that was not been achieved since 1982. As a captain, he is the first Australian player to bag 150 international wickets. He is also the second fastest Aussie player to bag 200 Test wickets. Cummins reached the milestone in 44 Test games, only to be behind the great Dennis Lillee.
